Trade the books you are finished with for your next great read! Books accepted for resale receive Ox Lot Trade Credit equal to 50% of their selling price.
Store credit is issued in place of cash and may only be used toward the purchase of used books. Store credit cannot be used toward new books or non-book merchandise.
What We Accept:

We look for books that are clean, complete, in good condition, and published within the past 10 years.

Books should be free of:

Water or significant page damage
-
Odor
-
Any on-page writing (e.g., highlighting, underlining).​

Dust jackets are required if the book was originally published with one.
For children’s picture books, we prefer that the original dust jacket be included; if it is missing, the book’s physical cover must match it.

Slightly worn books are okay and expected. We understand that used books have been loved!

Ultimately, all used-book acceptance is at the discretion of Ox Lot Books. These guidelines help us maintain a consistent standard, but exceptions may be made at our discretion.
Bringing In Your Books:
Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays
2pm - 5pm
Please bring no more than one box at a time and plan to remain in the store while we review your books.
As a small team, we ask for your patience while we review your books. We will sift through your books as quickly as we can so that you can receive your store credit the same day and take home any books we are unable to accept.
Books are selected based on their condition, publication date, our current inventory, customer interest, and available shelf space.
Bringing in books does not guarantee that they will be accepted or that store credit will be issued.
Donations:
We do not accept book donations.

Due to our limited storage and shelf space, we are unable to keep books that have not been accepted through The Ox Lot Trade.

Books we do not accept must be taken back with you. We encourage you to consider other local bookstores, thrift stores, or charitable organizations that may be able to give them a new home. A book not being right for our shelves does not mean it won’t be right for someone else’s!

Books left with us without completing the review process will be considered forfeited. No store credit will be issued, and we have the right to donate, recycle, or otherwise dispose of them at our discretion.
